Kasargod: Murder accused escapes from police custody on pretext of attending nature's call

Kasargod, Sep 14: A 35-year-old murder accused escaped from the custody of police on Friday, September 14.

Azeez bin Mohammed, resident of Bolamba house, Ajjavara is an accused in the recent murder in Kasargod and was lodged in Hosadurga jail, Kerala.

Two policemen had escorted him from Hosadurga jail to JMFC court in the morning on Friday with regard to the hearing of an old case.

The policemen were escorting him back to Hosadurga jail when the accused asked them to allow him to attend nature’s call. The policemen took him to the washroom. The accused at that juncture pushed the police escorts, scaled the bus stand compound wall and fled.
