Mangaluru: Rosario College National Service Scheme annual camp held

Mangaluru, Jan 9: The annual camp of Rosario College of Management Studies National Service Scheme for the year 2018-2019 was held at aided Pejavar church higher primary school, Kalavar.

Pejavar school convener Fr Marcel Saldanha inaugurated the camp on December 26. He commended the efforts of the volunteers of National Service Scheme who showed that personality evolution is possible through service.

College principal Fr Rockey Fernandes chaired the programme. School headmistress Prescilla Lobo, Pejavar church parish pastoral council vice president Peter Correa, Bala gram panchayat president B Adam, vice president Ranjani, Bala gram panchayat PDO Vishwanath B, school parent teacher association president Aboobacker, camp unit leader Bashir Hilal were present.

NSS project officer, commerce lecturer Melson D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Assistant project officer, economics lecturer Carrol Pereira proposed the vote of thanks.

Camp participants in the seven day long camp from December 26 to January 1 cleaned the school premises, repaired the sides of the road and created awareness on disposal of waste.
