Mangaluru: Tulu movie 'Yenna' hits screens in coastal Karnataka

Mangaluru, Feb 14: Tulu movie ‘Yenna’, which has been produced under the banner 'Glorious Angelore productions' by Canute Mathias Pilar, was released here at Jyothi Theatre on Friday February 14. ‘Yenna’ movie is directed by Vishwanath Kodical.

Speaking on the occasion, Tulu film director, Vijay Kumar Kodialbail said, “Director Vishwanath Kodikal has given good support and helped in promoting Tulu movies. Today he has stepped into directing through Tulu movie 'Yenna’. I wish him the best and urge people to support this Tulu movie."

Tulu film director and producer Prakash Pandeshwar, said, “Nearly 173 artistes have performed in this movie. Director Vishwanath Kodikal has given opportunity to a large number of newcomers in the movie. I hope this movie will achieve success and run for a long duration in the theatres."

'Yenna' movie has released in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts. It has given opportunity to new budding talents, in total 173 artistes have acted in the movie. Without any cuts, the film has received U/A certificate. The film's video song, which was released recently, has got positive response on YouTube. Vaishali S Udupi has handled cinematography, and with this for the first time, camera is being handled by a lady for a Tulu film.

VJ Vineeth and Shruthi Poojary are playing the lead roles in the movie, along with Prashanth C K, Ashwith Raj, and Ramesh Rai who are also playing important roles.

Yenna has unique story which is worth watching by all genres of people. Apart from direction Vishwanath Kodical has also handled the story and screenplay of this movie. Maxim Periera Angelore is the associate director for this film. Loy Valentine Saldanha has composed the music, and Shilpa Cutinho has rendered voice for the songs in the movie. Dhanush Bajal and Maxim Periera have written lyrics and Shwetha Arehole is the choreographer.

The movie has been shot in and around Mangaluru. Most of the shooting has been done in Sahyadri College in Adyar. Prashanth C K has written the dialogues.

Producers Joseph Mathias and Canute Mathias Pilar, actors VJ Vineeth, Shruthi Poojary, music director Loy Valentine Saldanha, journalist Jagannath Shetty Bala and others were present.
